The work with the Archive of Actions was initiated in November 2007 in Umeå. In the project Kanslibyrån has performed actions in everyday life. The Archive is now containing 650 actions. Each action has been planned and documented, with the aim to build a collection of performed actions in which Kanslibyrån examine what does and doesn’t fit in today’s society.

The bureau creates situations that distinguish themselves as other than normal. Subtlety and humbleness are important qualities in the work and the scene is public areas: the urban space, public institutions, media etc. as well as personal and intimate spaces: The home, the studio or the own body.
